§ 32-12. Removal of dead animals.

  • (a)

    Any person in possession, charge or control of any carrion or dead animal or upon whose premises the same may be located shall cause the same to be removed and disposed of. No dead animals shall be placed in solid waste or recycling containers.

    (b)

    The owner of a dead animal or carrion, or such other person as is hereby made responsible for the removal of such carrion or dead animal, may, upon request, have the assistance of the county in removing such carrion or dead animal.

    (c)

    The county manager is authorized to provide procedures and establish charges for the collection and disposal of carrion or dead animals. County assistance for removal of the carrion or dead animal will result in the owner being charged for services rendered.
