§ 30-83. County service.

(a)

The county service shall include all employment within the county government wherein persons are paid a wage or salary from public moneys in accordance with official entries on a county payroll. The county service shall not include persons who perform services for which payment is made on a fee for procured contractual services or claim basis.

(b)

All employees in the county service shall be divided into the competitive and the non-competitive service.

(c)

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this article, the provisions of this section shall not apply to non-employee members of boards, commissions, committees and other authorities appointed by the council.
