§ 6-6. Unreasonable animal noise prohibited.

  • (a)

    No person shall own or keep any animal, licensed or not, which by barking or making of other noises, continuously for more than ten minutes, either day or night, causes annoyance to the neighborhood or to passersby except such noises made by livestock, whether from commercial or noncommercial activities on land which is properly zoned to allow keeping of livestock, and such sounds made in facilities licensed under and in compliance with the provisions of this Code.

    (b)

    It shall be affirmative defense under this section that the animal was intentionally provoked to make such noise.
