§ 40-247. Penalties for violation of article.

  • (a)

    Any person found to be violating any provision of this article shall be served with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for its satisfactory correction. If the person, within the period of time stated in such notice, corrects the condition said to be a violation, no further action shall be taken.

    (b)

    Any person who shall continue any violation beyond the time limit provided for in subsection (a) of this section may be prosecuted and, on conviction, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding $500.00 for each violation. Each day in which any such violation shall continue shall be deemed a separate offense.
