§ 40-46. Cooperation with other county departments.

(a)

Services to the department. The public utilities department shall have the right to require the services of the various county offices and departments pursuant to article V, section 503 of the Charter and shall pay for such services to the extent agreed to by the board and county manager. The adequacy of these services is the responsibility of the county manager. Unresolved issues shall be addressed to the council.

(b)

Services provided by the department. The public utilities department may provide its services to other county offices and departments pursuant to article V, section 503 of the Charter and shall be reimbursed for such services from non-utility funds to the extent agreed to by the board and the county manager. The adequacy of these services is the responsibility of the manager. Unresolved issues shall be addressed to the board.
