§ 40-3. Acquisition and operation.

(a)

The county is authorized to acquire, and does acquire, from the United States of America, acting by the Department of Energy, an electric utility, a natural gas utility, water facilities and sewage facilities, or any one or more of them, and is authorized to operate and maintain such utilities and facilities.

(b)

It is determined that a satisfactory supply of natural gas is not otherwise obtainable.
