§ 38-497. Footrests and handlebars.

  • (a)

    Any motorcycle carrying a passenger, other than in a sidecar or enclosed cab, shall be equipped with footrests for the passenger.

    (b)

    No motorcycle shall be equipped with handlebars which have an outer end raised more than 15 inches above the level of the seat normally occupied by the operator. The level of the seat shall be determined as being the top of the seat when the seat is fully depressed.
