§ 38-151. Crashes involving death or personal injury.
(a)
The driver of any vehicle involved in a crash resulting in injury to or death of any person shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such crash or as close thereto as possible but shall then immediately return to and in every event shall remain at the scene of the crash until he has fulfilled the requirements of section 38-153. Every such stop shall be made without obstructing traffic more than is necessary.
(b)
Any person failing to stop or comply with the requirements of section 38-153, where the crash does not result in great bodily harm or death, shall be sentenced to a definite term of not more than 90 days in jail, or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both.
