§ 38-61. Duties of police.

Latest version.

The police department, with such assistance as may be rendered by other county departments shall:
(1)

Enforce traffic regulations applicable to street traffic;

(2)

Make arrests for traffic violations;

(3)

Investigate crashes;

(4)

Cooperate with the traffic engineer and other county officials in the administration of traffic conditions;

(5)

Carry out those duties imposed on it by this chapter; and

(6)

Assist in prosecution of persons charged with violations of the law.
