§ 2-171. Assignment of functions or activities; service on special committees or projects.

The manager shall assign programs, projects, activities, and responsibilities to the various departments established by the council for the purpose of administering county affairs. Department directors shall serve on special committees or manage projects as directed by the manager. The manager may reassign programs, projects, activities and responsibilities between or among the departments, provided that such reassignment is consistent with the functions for the departments prescribed by the council.
