§ 16-54. Interdepartmental review committee (IDRC).

  • (a)

    The IDRC shall be comprised of members designated to serve on the IDRC by the county manager.

    (b)

    The IDRC shall hold regular meetings at times and places prescribed by the chairman. The IDRC shall determine its own rules and order of business. The official signature of the IDRC shall be in the name of the chairman. The IDRC shall keep minutes of meetings and actions and such minutes shall be a matter of public record.

    (c)

    The IDRC shall review all matters as set forth in section 16-122.

    (d)

    The IDRC shall review complete applications within 14 days of receipt by the community development department and make timely recommendations to the community development director, the board of adjustment, or the planning and zoning commission, as appropriate, on the following:

    (1)

    Proposed amendments to the text of this chapter;

    (2)

    Proposed amendments to the comprehensive plan;

    (3)

    Proposed amendments to the official zoning map;

    (4)

    Special use permits;

    (5)

    Subdivisions, including sketch plans, preliminary and final plats, and summary plats when required by this chapter;

    (6)

    Site plans;

    (7)

    Determination of uses and additions, deletions or changes in category to uses allowed;

    (8)

    Other matters referred to it by the community development director, the board of adjustment, the planning and zoning commission, the county manager or the county council.

    (e)

    The IDRC shall automatically continue matters not acted upon by virtue of a lack of a quorum no more than seven working days.

    (f)

    When requested by an applicant in the interest of time, an application shall be scheduled for public hearing and decision making before the community development director, the board of adjustment, or the planning and zoning commission, as appropriate, with or without a recommendation from the IDRC.
