§ 10-75. Minimum construction standards.

  • All work for which a building permit is required under the New Mexico Building Code shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of the New Mexico Building Code and shall further:

    (1)

    Be performed in good, workmanlike manner according to accepted standards and practices in the trade and in interpreting and applying the provisions of this article, they shall be held to be minimum requirements for the promotion of the public safety, health, convenience, comfort, prosperity and general welfare;

    (2)

    Be performed under a permit issued by the building official conforming to the approved application and plans, and approved amendments thereof;

    (3)

    Meet minimum requirements of the state energy code;

    (4)

    Have work sites fenced, flagged or maintained in a manner to safeguard property and public welfare during construction;

    (5)

    Have wood stoves installed in accordance with the most current EPA standards.
